Ohio (NORTHEAST OHIO) A well-known free standing children's hospital needs additional NNPs to join their well-established group of 15 NNPs. The 8 Neonatologists are in house 24/7. The hospital has a 50-bed Level IIIC NICU and provides all subspecialties including open heart surgery and ECMO. The unit stresses developmental care. "IT IS ONE OF 3 HOSPITALS IN THE U.S. SELECTED BY THE MARCH OF DIMES for a PILOT PROJECT to assist families coping with the birth of a child who needs neonatal intensive care." It also has designated Magnet Hospital status providing services to a 17-county area. The NNPs also rotate to a 17-bed Level IIC and a 21-bed Level IIIA nursery in a hospital with a large delivery service to attend high-risk deliveries; thus providing the NNPs the opportunity for patient management in the Level III NICU, as well as delivery room experience. Some ground transport responsibility. The schedule is based upon a 40-hour work week; mostly days (6A-4P). Each NNP receives an educational allowance to apply toward CEUs. WILL HIRE NEW GRADUATES with a minimum of 3 years Level III NICU experience. A Very supportive environment for a new graduate. NCC is mandatory; MSN preferred but will consider BSN candidates with NCC certification if they can be licensed in Ohio. This is a full-time position and relocation is required.
