The group provides neonatal services to 9 Level III and III+ NICUs and 3 Level II NICUs. The NNPs manage neonates on high frequency ventilation, conventional ventilation, and inhaled nitric oxide. The NNPs perform advanced practice procedures; attend high risk deliveries, and provide consultations when requested by Pediatricians. This is a busy practice that affords the opportunity to work with all levels of neonates with unparalleled Neonatologist support. Mainly 24 hour shifts. A well-known, Level IIID NICU in Texas is seeking 1 full-time NNP for its free-standing children's hospital. 10-hour day shifts and 14-night shifts currently available. NNPs are responsible for direct patient care, delivery attendance and some rotational night coverage. Variety of patients and acuity; evidence-based practice; family-centered care. No transport responsibility. NNPs are employed by the Dept. of Medicine. Position is salaried, based on a 40-hour work week.
A private, not for profit, hospital which is one of the largest pediatric providers in the nation needs EXPERIENCED NNPs for their new 19 bed Level III NICU. All subspecialties are represented including cardiac and ECMO. The hospital has magnet status and is a designated transplant center. The NNPs work 24 hour shifts managing the surgical and medical babies as well as feeders and growers. There is no delivery room coverage or transport responsibility.
