Job Summary

Work for the best hospital in the state and live in a commercial, cultural, and recreational hub surrounded by water, mountains, and forests.  A not-for-profit, university-based magnet facility seeks additional Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to help provide Level II Newborn Nursery and Level IV NICU coverage.


Main Campus

  • 20+ bed, Level IV NICU
  • 24/7 in-house Neonatologist
  • Residents/Fellows in unit
  • High-risk delivery attendance
  • No transport responsibility
  • 12-hour rotating shifts
  • the NNPs provide their preferences and work together to create the schedule.

Newborn Nursery

  • 4-bed, Level II NICU
  • Easy access campus
  • Non-profit community hospital
  • No transport responsibility
  • Shift length TBD; 24s may be an option

NNP Role:

  • Operating under the parameters of clinical practice and continuity of care, the providers will attend high-risk deliveries and provide medical care to both high-risk neonates and normal newborns.
  • The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts and does not include transport.
  • 24/7 in-house Neonatologist coverage in the Level IV NICU.
  • Each provider will have a primary site with some rotation to a nearby, easily accessible, secondary location.

Requirements:

  • MSN and NCC required upon start, as are NRP certification and Prescriptive Authority.
  • Candidates who have a least three years of Level III NICU and delivery room experience are strongly preferred, but new graduate NNPs will be considered.
